This course aims to... introduce students to the
delights of stumpwork by using traditional techniques but with 20th century
materials. To encourage students to experiment with new techniques and develop
individual ideas.
It is for... beginners to stumpwork embroidery or
those with previous knowledge who want to learn more. Students can either use
one of the tutor’s patterns or make an embroidery of their own choice.

Tutor profile: Kay Dennis is an experienced stumpwork
and needlelace tutor who regularly teaches at various colleges, guild branches
and private groups around the country. Kay currently teaches City & Guilds
stumpwork for the Embroiderers' Guild and has written three books on the
subject.

Unfortunately, children under the age of 16 cannot be accepted into any of our classes unless the course is designed for adults and children learning together.
