Course
level: Suitable
for all levels.
This course aims to... encourage creativity and
introduce felt making skills to the quilt maker.
It is for... learners who may have some quilting or
felt making experience who would like to develop these skills in a new and
exciting way.
During the course... learners will explore three
related skills; wet felting methods using prefelt and merino wool; dyeing and
resist designs on sheer silks; stitching ideas for hand or machine quilting
these layers.
Assessment will be... continuous. At every stage we
will discuss the possibilities and potential for development.
By the end of the course… you should be able to:

Tutor profile: Barbara Weeks is an experienced and enthusiastic tutor and practising textile artist with work in public and private collections. She exhibits widely and locally with Herts Open Studios.

Unfortunately, children under the age of 16 cannot be accepted into any of our classes unless the course is designed for adults and children learning together.
